Virtual Infinity Seminars
Our next seminar speaker is Javier Carballo from the University of Southampton, who will talk on 25 October 2024 about “Arbitrarily long-lived linear black hole perturbations.” Javier will discuss how the non-normal Hamiltonian of black hole quasinormal modes (QNMs) leads to long-lived perturbations. These perturbations, appearing as localized energy packets, will be explored through examples in de Sitter space and Schwarzschild black holes using hyperboloidal foliations.
